We undertook a number of different surveys to get a greater product or customer insight. This included:

  • Face to Face Interviews
  • Online Survey

To drive traffic to the web survey we initially circulated within our network of influence. This generated over 50 responses. However due to the size of the market we were concerned that we needed a larger representative sample (recognising that with time and budget constraints we are not in a position to produce insight with high levels of confidence – the purpose of the survey is to act as an indicator and either support or disprove our theories.)

To increase the sample size the survey was posted onto chocolate forums and a Facebook Ad was run for a one week period to drive volume.
